Bike Course Downtown Frankfurt

The bike course will take the athletes not only through the spectacular Downtown of Frankfurt but also through beautiful landscapes of the surrounding countryside.

A 15 km connection leads the athletes from “Langener Waldsee” to Downtown Frankfurt (Mainkai), onto the 2-loop bike course through the surroundings – every kilometer on completely closed roads!

Traditional Half-timbered houses in Maintal-Hochstadt: this is supposed to be a very crowdy place on race day!

Bad Vilbel main road with a steep incline. This place should become a special point creating a “Tour de France Atmosphere” with thousands of spectators along the street.

    About the event

    More than 2,500 athletes from 51 nations will face the challenge of the Frankfurter Sparkasse IRONMAN European Championship. 2,4 miles swim in Waldsee Langen, 112 mile bike in the surrounding of Frankfurt and a 26.2 mile run on the banks of Main River with a finish on the famous Römerberg.
